When you find your passion in maternity, newborn, and family photography and focus your time on that solely; you don't often think of the other types of portraits out there. I have done many Senior Portraits but it has been some time since my last session. When presented with the opportunity to capture beautiful Tais senior pictures, my first thought was "I am so out of practice, I hope I don't mess this up".
When I agreed and committed to the session, I really started to get excited. Planning it out in my head was fun, the endless amounts of opportunities. Tai had always wanted to do her photos on the property that her grandmother grew up r...
We know that planning for a newborn session can be a bit overwhelming. Here are some tips to help you prepare so that your session runs as smoothly as possible. This is such a special and important time to document. We don't want you, as parents, to have a single worry going into this. We are always happy to make suggestions and answer any additional questions you may have.
AVOID SPICY FOODS
Nursing moms, be sure to be cautious of what you eat 24 hours prior to your newborns session. Spicy foods can often make a nursing baby uncomfortable or upset their tummy. Avoid spicy foods and any food the baby may have allergies to at all cost.
Can you believe it? I actually have a life outside of photographing beautiful women, children and families and squishy little babies! I would love to let y'all in on what makes me ME and share a little about my sweet family.
I have always felt that getting to know your photographer will allow you to be more comfortable and relaxed through out each session. While I am a huge people person and I get along with most everyone, I know that my personality isn't for everyone. I know that there will be clients who come long that I walk away knowing they will be life long friends before I have even photographed them and there will also b...
Moving from one place to another and starting over is tough and challenging in so many ways. As a Maternity, Newborn and Family photographer I get to grow with families and often times become great friends with my clients. I started photographing miss Shala long before Bowen was even thought of. I was honored to take her maternity and newborn photos. Shortly after we moved to Colorado and my heart was a bit heavy to leave so many wonderful clients behind. Well I am so thrilled to say that even though I left... I never stopped being their go to photographer! They came all the way to Colorado from Texas to visit and we got to capture Colorado...
I have so much for this beautiful woman. A mother of 5 incredible little ladies! Any session with multiple small children has the potential to get a little crazy. Some children and toddlers can be rather unpredictable. ALL 5 girls were so well behaved and listened so well. I had a wonderful time with these ladies and am so thankful to spend part of my morning with them.
Mommy and me sessions always warm my heart. As a mother myself I know how easy it is to not see yourself in pictures because your usually the one taking them. We spent a bit of our morning together at the beautiful Rock Ledge Ranch and captured some of the sweetest moments of these two together. There is nothing like a mothers love!
With two beautiful girls already, the butlers will finally be adding a little boy to the family! We may have froze our butts off and braved the rain for this session but id say it was worth it. When pregnancy looks this good on you, maternity pictures are the way to go. I really enjoyed getting to know this sweet family and providing them with beautiful portraits to fill their walls with.
When two families join together to become one, often times it results in one big family. At the end of last year I shared a surprise proposal session from when Kamaron popped the question. Now I am happy to share family photos of this sweet couple and their four incredible children. Ive been photographing Tineka and her kiddos for many years and it warms my heart to see the happiness that has been created because these two fell in love!
